About

About The Courier Guide

The Courier Guide is an independent online publication for businesses and households who need something moved. We cover parcels, same day delivery, van hire with a driver and office moves, and explain what to ask before you book.

What we cover

• Same day delivery: When a dedicated courier makes sense and how pricing usually works.
• Parcels and pallets: Sizing, packing and choosing the right service.
• Office and business moves: Planning a move so that work carries on.
• Man and van: What to ask before you book a driver and a van.
• Insurance and claims: Goods in transit cover, in plain English.
• Working as a courier: Licences, vehicles and the basics of the job.

How we work

AI helps us write our articles, and each one is checked before it goes live. We point to the official source wherever there's a rule or a figure, so you can read it for yourself.

Sometimes we mention a business that works in the field we're writing about, because readers may find it useful. We keep those mentions factual and we don't make claims we can't back up.
